Visualization is a skill that can have a significant impact on patients in a vision therapy program, yet it is commonly not emphasized in many optometric programs and is often misunderstood. This two day seminar will review current understanding of visualization from a behavioral and neurophysiological view and will teach how visualization techniques may be incorporated into any vision therapy program. Specific procedures designed to help patients with reading, math, and spelling will be reviewed, as well as how visualization may be important in patients with a variety of challenges, including vision and learning problems, executive function disorder, impulsivity, and post-concussion vision syndrome.
