The College of Optometry is seeking applicants for tenure track, and non-tenure track, full-time faculty positions with potential administrative responsibilities. Candidates should have a passion for excellence in teaching, scholarship, service, leadership, and patient care.
Candidates with interest, experience, and expertise in the following areas are highly desired:
• Basic and Biomedical Sciences, such as: Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry, Immunology, Body Systems, and Nutrition
• Clinical and Rehabilitative Sciences, such as: Advanced Procedures for the Management of Ocular Diseases, Neuro-Optometric Rehabilitation, Vision Therapy, Sports Vision, and Pediatrics
• Administrative Responsibilities, such as: Dual-Degree Programs, International Programs, and Admissions & Enrollment Management
Faculty rank will be commensurate with experience and expectations of future accomplishments. Salary and benefits are competitive (salary range: $100,000 – $145,000). Requirements include attainment of the Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree and licensure to practice in California or the ability to obtain such licensure within 6 months of hire. OD with additional credentials are strongly preferred, such as: residency training, LSPE certification, master’s degree, and PhD or other doctoral degree.
