About the Doctor:A leading international Functional and Behavioral Optometrist performing vision therapy, assessments and training with large variety of clients including athletes, neurorehabilitation, youth, seniors and other patients over 35 years.
He is head and founder of the Institute Sehen – Vision Care Center Germany.
Having studied Optometry in Berlin, Josef Thiel took the exam “Augenoptikermeister” (German Master of Eye-Opticianry)
In 1980, he began his professional career as an Optometrist and Optician in Berlin and Germany, then in 1982 started his own business in Lindenberg / Allgäu:
“Thiel - see for yourself!” was founded.
For over 30 years he successfully led this business and helped many patients, providing eye glasses, contact lenses, prisms and low vision care.
In 1998 he became interested in Behavioral Optometry and graduated as one of the first candidates at the Scientific Association for Optometry and Optics (WVAO) in 2002. Three years later followed the foundation of the Optometric Center in Lindau / Bodensee as a separate practice and since 2014 Josef Thiel has been working as founder and director of the Institute Sehen – Vision Care Center in Weissensberg, Germany.
