My practice is the first behavioural optometric practice in Nova Scotia. I am fortunate to be able to work with those with learning difficulties, acquired brain injuries, strabismus and amblyopia. Through the use of therapeutic and performance eyeglasses, vision therapy, visual-vestibular sensory integration and syntonics/phototherapy there are many changes that will occur for those who are dedicated to the process of improving the visual system. Vision Sense Optometry is here to provide hope.
The assessment takes 1.5-2 hours and analyzes many parts of visual functioning such as eye tracking, teaming, focussing, accommodating, perception of space, body balance and symmetry. Some of the treatments include performance or therapeutic eyeglasses, designed to change neural processing, vision therapy, syntonics/photomodulation and visual-vestibular sensory integration.
