There will be case examples which will demonstrate how these treatments are used to rehabilitate patients.
Amy Chang, OD, FAAO, FCOVD is a graduate of State University of New York College of Optometry, she completed her residency in Acquired Brain Injury Vision Rehabilitation at SUNY Optometry. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and College of Optometrists in Vision Development, and a member of the Neuro Optometric Rehabilitation Association. She has received the following awards, Louis Herman Memorial Award for Outstanding Compassion in Patient Care, COVD Award for excellence in Vision Training and the Best Literature of the Year Award.
She has spent the last ten years treating military and civilians with traumatic brain injuries in the hospital setting. She has enjoyed helping to improve her patient’s lives after a brain injury. She also enjoys educating other optometrists and health professionals, having lectured in local and national conferences, publishing journal articles and even a book titled “Neurovision Rehabilitation Guide” which is a manual for therapists on vision rehabilitation. She has joined Dr. Rebecca Hutchin’s practice in Niwot, Colorado and is excited to bring her expertise to private practice.
