Read Between the Lions: Read Between the Lions is a reading skills program specifically developed to address a lack of saccadic fixation, a keystone visual skill defined as the jump eye movements NECESSARY for reading. Developed in Northern Nevada by Lions Dr. Rick Meier O.D. and Janyce Rossall of Lions Clubs District 46 and recognized as one of 200 Presidential Leadership Centennial Community Legacy Projects. Currently the project is underway in clubs and districts of Nevada, Michigan, launching in Arizona and Utah and soon to be California, New Mexico, and Australia. RBTL is a program complimentary to Reading Action Program and KidSight USA. Much like a club screens people for vision, RBTL can be facilitated during community events. Here you will be able to access screening training videos, event activities, and general information on how a Lions Club or any organization concerned with people gaining reading skills can adopt the techniques to help people improve moral through improved reading skills.
