THE FUTURE OF XYZ. Future of America’s Eyes. 30-minute interview of Dr. Andrea Thau led by Lisa Gralnek. April 29, 2021. Episode 25 of Future of XYZ is an important and fascinating conversation about the ‘Future of America’s Eyes’.  In a rich conversation filled with actionable recommendations, Dr. Thau speaks about how “the most important thing you can do for your health is have regular comprehensive eye exams”. As she reminds us, our one set of eyes has to last a lifetime!   Did you know that more than 270 health problems, as well as neurological and behavioral issues can be diagnosed through the eyes?   Did you also know it is recommended for all infants to have their first comprehensive eye exam between 6-12 months, another by age 3, another by age 5, and then every year thereafter? Yet only 15% of America’s kids has had one by the time they enter grade school, and less than 50% of high schoolers…   It’s an important episode.
